Requirements
  • At least 3 years of second-line leadership experience managing teams of 30 or more individuals, with 10 or more years of overall leadership experience.
  • Proven success leading high-growth enterprise software pre-sales organizations within Retail, Consumer Packaged Goods, cloud, data, analytics, or artificial intelligence.
  • Experience partnering with Retail and/or Consumer Packaged Goods customers on large-scale data, analytics, artificial intelligence, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Ability to elevate executive engagement, with a track record of driving large strategic transactions and expanding high-growth enterprise accounts.
  • Proven leadership ability to influence, develop, and empower teams to achieve ambitious business objectives through collaboration.
  • Experience driving operational rigor in a high-growth business by establishing an operating cadence and ensuring visibility into customer priorities, escalations, and product feedback.
  • Proven track record of delivering transformational customer outcomes and measurable business value.
  • Track record of building strong customer relationships and cross-functional partnerships across Sales, Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Customer Success.
  • Experience positioning technical solutions within complex enterprise environments and helping customers realize long-term value and platform adoption with Databricks.
  • Strong operational leadership with experience implementing scalable processes that improve the effectiveness and productivity of technical field organizations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
  • Partner with enterprise Consumer Packaged Goods and Retail customers to democratize data and artificial intelligence within their organizations using Databricks solutions and expertise.
  • Lead a team of pre-sales managers and Solutions Architects focused on acquiring new customers and expanding strategic relationships across the Retail and Consumer Packaged Goods industry.
  • Work closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and executive stakeholders to drive strategy and execution against growth goals.
  • Develop and scale a high-performing team with expertise in enterprise software, data engineering, analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and cloud technologies.
  • Partner with Sales to drive complex enterprise opportunities and coach managers and field engineering teams to deliver customer outcomes.
  • Guide the team through strategic engagements, communicate complex technical solutions in terms of business value, support enterprise sales cycles, and build relationships with senior business and technology leaders.
  • Hire and manage first-line managers and a growing team of technical pre-sales Solutions Architects.
  • Build a collaborative culture within a rapid-growth team.
  • Develop trusted, long-term executive relationships with customers while maintaining an understanding of Retail and Consumer Packaged Goods business trends, competitive dynamics, and digital transformation priorities.
  • Help customers accelerate data and artificial intelligence strategies across customer experience, merchandising, supply chain, demand forecasting, marketing, and operations.
  • Promote a solution- and value-based Field Engineering organization.
  • Understand customer business priorities and revenue opportunities across the assigned region and industry.
  • Serve as a thought leader for Databricks and within the Retail, Consumer Packaged Goods, data, and artificial intelligence ecosystem.

Databricks hires ex-AWS executive to lead Asia partners amid 85% growth

Databricks has appointed former Amazon Web Services executive Briscoe to lead its Asia Pacific & Japan partner organisation. She previously headed AWS's partner operations in the region and held similar roles at Microsoft and Cisco. The move supports Databricks' regional expansion. In April, the company named Simon Davies as regional leader and reported over 85% year-on-year growth in its fourth quarter. It now has more than 1,500 employees across Asia Pacific & Japan and plans to establish headquarters in Singapore. Databricks works with over 1,000 partners regionally and 8,000 globally through its Brickbuilder Partner Network. The company's AWS business has surpassed a $1 billion run rate. Coatue leads $3B Databricks investment at $134B valuation

Coatue Management is reportedly leading a $3 billion investment in Databricks, according to recent reports. The data analytics company previously raised roughly $5 billion earlier in 2026 at a $134 billion valuation. Databricks sells a lakehouse platform combining data lake and data warehouse capabilities and has expanded into AI software for enterprise applications. The company reported $5.4 billion in revenue run rate in February, up over 65% year on year, which grew to $6.9 billion by June. The earlier financing round included $2 billion in debt capacity intended to fund AI products, acquisitions and employee liquidity. At its current valuation, Databricks exceeds Snowflake's market capitalisation of approximately $83 billion. Management has indicated the company may remain private until market conditions improve.
