  • New York State Security Guard License
  • A valid New York State driver’s license
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to interact with diverse clientele, work under pressure, and make quick decisions in emergency situations

Responsibilities
  • Monitor hospital grounds and buildings to prevent theft and other criminal activity
  • Screen patients and visitors
  • Patrol corridors
  • Investigate suspicious activity
  • Respond to emergencies
  • Provide general information to visitors
  • Promote good community relations
  • Maintain the peace in the hospital and work with local, state, and federal law enforcement to ensure safety of the Albany Medical Center community
