Second Nature Health delivers weight-management and habit-change programmes in the UK through a digital app. It blends coaching from registered dietitians/nutritionists, behavioural-science techniques, and, when eligible, medications like Wegovy (semaglutide) or Mounjaro (tirzepatide) to support weight loss. Programs are NHS-commissioned and shown to help over 250,000 patients; app-only outcomes average about 6.2 kg weight loss in 12 months, while medication-supported pathways achieve 18–22% body-weight reduction. The company distinguishes itself by offering a hybrid model that combines clinician-led coaching, behavioural habit formation, and medications with a focus on transparency and published outcomes, aiming to be a long-term lifestyle partner.

What believers are saying

  • On August 11, 2026, Second Nature claimed over 300,000 NHS referrals served.
  • The NHS Digital Weight Management Programme keeps Second Nature embedded in national obesity care.
  • Private Wegovy and Mounjaro launches expand monetization beyond fixed NHS contracting.

What critics are saying

  • NICE has not recommended Wegovy pills, blocking NHS reimbursement and limiting volume.
  • GLP comparison ranked Second Nature 73rd of 73 pharmacies on Mounjaro cost, crushing price competitiveness.
  • If NHS referrals shrink, private GLP-1 margins alone cannot fund its coaching-heavy service.

What makes Second Nature Health unique

  • Second Nature combines NHS-commissioned coaching with private GLP-1 medication support.
  • Its June 11, 2026 Wegovy pill launch extends the habit-change model into oral therapy.
  • It serves both public NHS pathways and private payers, unlike medication-only rivals.

Lilly Beats Q2 Estimates, Increases Revenue Forecast On Strong Mounjaro Demand

Pictured: Eli Lilly/iStock, Michael ViEli Lilly bumped up its full-year forecast after the company exceeded revenue expectations in the second quarter. Profit jumped 85% from the same period a year ago, with shares up 9% in premarket trading Tuesday morning on the news.  Total revenue for the quarter was over $8.3 billion for the pharma, a 28% increase over the same quarter last year, beating estimates of $7.58 billion. Growth was driven by its newest blockbuster Mounjaro, breast cancer treatment Verzenio and expanded indications for Jardiance. Lilly’s Type 2 diabetes treatment Mounjaro (tirzepatide), approved in May 2022, led the way in new product growth. The GLP-1 injectable has already jumped to $1.5 billion in sales for the first half of 2023. Currently approved for Type 2 diabetes, Mounjaro is poised to add the hot indication of chronic weight management to its label by the end of this year. However, Lilly said it “has experienced and continues to expect intermittent delays fulfilling orders of certain Mounjaro doses given significant demand.”  Data suggests the drug may be more effective for weight loss than Novo Nordisk’s Wegovy (semaglutide)
