• Develop innovative and creative solutions to non-trivial problems, launching new products through to production.

Qualifications

• BS+ in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Mastery of Solidworks 3D CAD systems and experience negotiating version control with multiple contributors on large assemblies.
• Experience setting up, troubleshooting, and executing static simulations (FEA) on assemblies. Ability to interpret results and make appropriate changes.
• Well-versed in technical drawings and tolerancing for all manufacturing methods. Ability to apply good GD&T practices when appropriate.
• Strong mechanism design using belt drive, lead screw, linear motion, linkages, etc.
• Strong background in selecting BLDC and stepper motors, sensors, and other electro-mechanical components.
• Familiarity with common mechanical prototyping tools is a plus (mill, lathe, laser, printer).
• Excellent written and verbal skills required.
