- Currently enrolled in law school in the Pittsburgh area.
- Advanced or intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel is preferred.
- A minimum commitment of 15–20 hours per week is required.
- Applicants must submit a recent transcript and two writing samples with their application.
- Assist with drafting, reviewing, and filing plaintiff personal injury litigation documents, including motions, briefs, affidavits, and memoranda, while ensuring accuracy and compliance with court deadlines.
- Conduct targeted legal research related to personal injury law, liability, negligence, and damages, and provide clear and timely summaries to attorneys.
- Review, organize, and summarize medical records, billing statements, and treatment histories to support case evaluation, demand packages, and trial preparation.
- Summarize depositions, accident reports, and expert materials to assist with liability analysis and litigation strategy.
- Communicate with clients regarding case status and documentation needs, and prepare correspondence at the direction of attorneys.
- Manage and track incoming mail, medical records, and case documents to maintain accurate and well-organized case files.
- Assist with all phases of discovery, including drafting discovery responses, managing exhibits, and coordinating deposition scheduling.
- Writing skills are a plus.
- Advanced or intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
