Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED plus equivalent experience may substitute for the preferred Bachelor's degree.
  • At least one year of experience in career services, case management, workforce development, social services, education, healthcare administration, retail or hospitality management, human resources, or a related field is required.
  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity, knowledge of trauma-informed approaches, and understanding of equity in workforce development and employment services.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize urgent or sensitive needs and balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams, and other technology systems used to manage caseload and performance needs.
  • Possess a valid United States driver's license.
Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of participants, orient them to the program, and jointly develop Career Plans outlining career goals and action steps to increase employability and address barriers to employment.
  • Build trusting relationships with participants and provide individualized services using varied modes suited to participants' preferences and engagement styles.
  • Identify needed support services, including childcare, transportation, job training, and educational services, and refer participants to internal and external services while coordinating with team members.
  • Develop resumes, cover letters, and other employment materials for participants seeking employment.
  • Provide service to program participants throughout their journey using a non-judgmental approach and unconditional positive regard.
  • Complete administrative tasks, including receiving referrals, scheduling appointments, returning phone calls and other communications, and documenting participant interactions.
