The Team
AQR is looking for an exceptionally talented Associate to join the US Family Office team within the Business Development group. The successful candidate will work alongside senior members of the team to build upon AQR’s presence, with a focus on developing new and maintaining existing relationships with family office clients in the United States.
Your Role
- Focus on a broad range of activities including identifying and developing new business and strengthening relationships with existing clients both independently and in support of senior relationship managers
- Highly visible position involving frequent interaction with sophisticated investors, as well as senior investment management professionals
- Develop a comprehensive knowledge of all AQR products, the functions and responsibilities of key employees, as well as a detailed understanding of the competitive landscape
- Significant involvement in business strategy including new product development, new business lines and new geographies
- Liaise with other members of Business Development to leverage the firm’s intellectual capital and customize marketing materials for prospects and existing clients
- Active participation with investment teams
- Meaningful travel expected
What You’ll Bring
- Deep interest in and strong understanding of finance, statistics and investing theory and practice
- Exceptional academic performance demonstrating achievement and commitment to excellence
- Strong self-awareness with the ability to empathize and understand others
- 1-2 years experience in sales and/or client relationship management at a financial services firm (asset management preferred)

- MBA or similar Master degree preferred
- 1-2 years post-degree work experienced preferred

The salary range for this role is expected to be $170,000 to $190,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is accurate for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, depending upon factors such as skills, experience, location, or other business and organizational needs. This wage range may also be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
