As a Technical Product Manager for DAZN, you will continuously analyse and develop our playback services, ensuring the highest-quality video playback experience for sports fans globally across various devices. Your collaboration with cross-functional teams across DAZN will be instrumental in defining a product roadmap and delivering it with internal and external development teams to maintain DAZN’s leadership in the industry.
A successful candidate will be highly analytical, resourceful, customer focused, team oriented, and will have an ability to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines. They will have a proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
In this full-time role you will be part of a dynamic and internal Product Management team that supports key business activities. Our team prides itself on inclusivity with a big focus on supporting and uplifting each other. You will report into a Senior Product Manager who will work alongside you in a closely linked domain. This role is based in our Leeds (UK) office, and the internal job title is Technical Product Manager.
As our new Technical Product Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Lead the transformation and modernisation of DAZN’s back-end playback services.
- Own the long-term product vision and road map.
- Manage the backlog prioritisation for multiple engineering teams.
- Become the subject matter expert in this functional area.
- Work with internal teams to shape requirements and define playback experiences.
- Drive continuous improvements through personal insights, analytics, and metadata trends.
You’ll be set up for success if you have:
- Knowledge and experience working with Agile methodologies.
- Strong requirement composition skills, with experience of writing high quality user stories and acceptance criteria in an agile environment.
- Strengths in problem solving, issue-resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior management.
- Understanding of the issues surrounding delivering live video planning and distribution.
- Pragmatic approach to feature prioritisation and compromises between designs and technical capabilities.
Even better if you have:
- A degree, MBA or equivalent, relevant ongoing training and development.
- General interest in sport.
