  • At least 12 years in industry or academia developing RF systems such as radar, transceivers, antennas or other radar subsystems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, applied physics or related field. M.S. or Ph.D. preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze radar system requirements to perform trade studies on performance, size, power, and cost to develop RF solutions with an emphasis on designs for low SWaP requirements.
  • Ability to use RF simulation tools, design and build prototypes, and iterate over the physical design to achieve the desired system requirements.
  • Broad software and laboratory skills for RF data acquisition, analysis, modeling and simulation.
  • Deep understanding and experience with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms.
  • Demonstrated experience building plans and executing prototype radar test programs to verify applicable system requirements.
  • Analyze simulation, ground, and flight test data to determine if the proposed design meets functional and performance requirements.
  • Mentor and guide other RF, DSP, mechanical, and system engineers.
  • Ensure the development and integration of advanced radar systems from conception to certification.
  • Participate in the Conflict Detection and Resolution (CD&R) team responsible for developing and certifying conflict detection and resolution functionality.
  • Take on early development tasks, conduct simulations, modeling, and analysis of radar system performance.
  • Develop prototype hardware and software for the integrated radar system and demonstrate flight capability.
  • Hire, build, and lead a multidisciplinary team for radar development program.
  • Lead systems integration and system engineering activities.
  • Navigate radar development through FAA and/or EASA certification.
  • Ensure compliance with DO-160, DO-178C, and applicable FCC regulations.
