Requirements
  • A Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in public administration, business administration, statistics or a related field and six years of experience in applied research, statistical or analytical work.
  • OR a PhD from an accredited college or university with a major in public administration, business administration, statistics or a related field and three years of experience in applied research, statistical or analytical work.
  • OR any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education approved by Human Resources.

  • Must have a valid Arizona Driver’s License at time of appointment.
  • This is an on-site position and no relocation assistance will be provided.
  • Selected candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and will need to provide documentation of eligibility on the first day of employment.

Responsibilities
  • Direct and supervise the Planning, Research and Evaluation division team members and the work they perform.
  • Develop and manage project implementation plans and adhere to established deadlines.
  • Design, develop, and manage Superior Court, Juvenile Court, and/or Justice Court research projects using appropriate research methodologies and procedures.
  • Research complex and politically sensitive topics, analyze and interpret data, conduct root cause and/or cost benefits analysis, author reports, and present findings to court administration, judicial leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Consult with and advise court administrators regarding policies and the implications of research findings.
  • Facilitate meetings and chair committees, including but not limited to leading court-wide teams in the evaluation of existing court processes and implement new operational procedures.
  • Provide technical assistance and consultation.
  • Assist with grant and/or research proposals.
  • Performs related duties and projects as assigned
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of AGAVE case management system data, extraction and interpretation, preferred.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of proposal writing, including familiarity with funding sources, preferred.
