- A minimum of a Master’s degree (PhD degree preferred) in Biology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biomolecular Engineering or related field
- At least 10 years of experience working in biological process development
- Experience working with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on 510(k) submissions, design control process and Good Manufacturing Practices for Medical Devices
- Possess demonstrated structured problem solving skills
- Optimizing instrument related solution preparation and developing commercial-ready processes based upon Research and Development processes, scaling up reagent production, validating assay reagent production and transferring production processes
- Designing and improving processes for reagent manufacturing, independently reviewing manufacturing procedures and executing experimental processes, serving as technical representative in transferring new products
- Designing and executing experimental procedures, critically analyzing experimental data and interpreting results
- Practicing good laboratory practices, safety requirements, laboratory Standard Operating Procedures, and company policies and procedures
- Collaborating on refining assay requirements, scale up of reagent production, and verification and validation activities for a compliant diagnostic medical device development encompassing assay development and integration with the instrument
- Strong knowledge of statistics, especially Design of Experiments, and excellent technical writing skills
- Experience with internal and external audit procedures
