Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, or equivalent is required.
  • At least 15 years of progressive leadership experience in Integrated Business Planning is required.
  • Demonstrated end-to-end Integrated Business Planning implementation experience is required.
  • Experience working across Sales, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain is required.
  • Experience in asset-intensive, demand- and supply-driven environments is required.
  • Deep understanding of Integrated Business Planning maturity models and best practices is required.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to translate operational plans into value-creation impacts are required.
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning, planning, and analytics platforms, including SAP, business intelligence solutions, and artificial intelligence tools such as Claude, is required.
  • The ability to synthesize complex data into clear executive-level insights is required.
  • The role requires systems thinking, dealing with ambiguity, drive for results, influence without authority, process management, developing direct reports, building effective teams, leading through change, perseverance, and continuous learning.
Responsibilities
  • Own and continuously improve Blue Diamond’s end-to-end Integrated Business Planning framework, integrating strategic priorities, demand, supply, inventory, financial commitments, profit and loss, cash flow, working capital, and capital spending.
  • Lead, coordinate, and orchestrate the full Integrated Business Planning governance cadence, including Demand Review, Almond Supply Review, Supply Review, and Integrated Reconciliation or Management Review.
  • Ensure Integrated Business Planning forums are decision-oriented, with clear visibility into risks, opportunities, gaps, required executive decisions, and ownership.
  • Surface, quantify, and escalate gaps between operational plans and financial commitments with clear options and recommendations.
  • Reinforce financial discipline by framing trade-offs, documenting decisions, and tracking outcomes related to net profit and cash flow.
  • Embed scenario planning to manage volatility from demand shifts, crop variability, capacity constraints, and margin pressure.
  • Establish Integrated Business Planning as the single source of truth for enterprise volume, mix, capacity, inventory, and service assumptions.
  • Design and maintain enterprise planning and execution governance with clear decision rights, accountability, consistent operating cadence, and executive focus on high-value issues.
  • Improve decision quality through stronger data integrity, assumption transparency, scenario comparison, trade-off visibility, and alignment between strategic intent and execution reality.
  • Prepare concise, insight-driven executive materials focused on actions and decisions.
  • Build, lead, influence, and develop cross-functional teams; foster enterprise thinking, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Elevate Integrated Business Planning maturity by coaching functional leaders, standardizing ways of working, and reinforcing ownership of commitments.
  • Serve as a change and transformation leader, shifting the organization from functional optimization to enterprise value optimization.
  • Occasionally travel for work.
Desired Qualifications
  • An MBA is preferred.
  • Experience in consumer packaged goods, food, agriculture, or manufacturing is preferred.
  • Project Management Institute certifications are desirable.
  • Six Sigma certification, at least Green Belt, is desirable.
