Anthology is seeking an inspirational leader to take theNorth AmericaProfessional Services (PS)Data Servicesteam to the next level in its evolution. This position reports directly to theSenior Director of North American DeliveryGlobalProfessionalServicesand is responsible for thesuccessful deliveryof theAnthologydata servicesin North America.
The data services teambuilds and maintains internal and external facing solutions using ETL pipeline platforms, procedures, scripts, reports, and DTS/SSIS packages.Ateam of experienced analysts, architects, and developers build enterprise level data migration and conversion solutions, custom data deliverables, and integration solutions.
Success in this position requires a multi-dimensional leader who understands how to achieve the right balance between customer delight, driving financial results and employee satisfaction. This leader must be able to drive change throughouta delivery date driven professional servicesteamwhile maintaining a positive, highly motivating culture.
TheDirectorofData Serviceswill be expected to work acrossthe PS practice areas and acrosscompany lines with stakeholders from all departments to drivedelivery andstrive for the highest possible level ofimplementation success. Thiscould include Product Management, Product Development, Client Services, Managed Services, Education Services, HR, Finance, etc.
Primary responsibilities will include:
Customer Delight
- Engaging with customers to understand delivery challenges and how to address them
- Taking an outside in view from the customers perspective
- Driving cultural change to improve and prioritize customer delight
- Building trust with customers through consistency and follow through
Financial Performance
- Driving financial results year over year for both top-line revenue and profit margins
- Maintaining a “company-first” mindset in driving PS results
- Maintaining a healthy level of billable staff members to deliver the backlog of work in a timely manner
- Developing resources to reduce downtime
- Working with PMO to ensure team is adequately resourced
Employee Satisfaction
- Creating an environment where employees are encouraged and motivated
- Implementing accountability measures for achieving key metrics and customer delight
- Setting the culture of PS, leading by example
- Ensuring employees are properly trained to feel confident in their abilities and exceed customer expectations

The Candidate:
Required skills/qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent graduate degree
- Minimum of 7 years leading professional services organization
- Minimum 10 years consulting, implementation experience
- Proven track record of developing high performing teams and leaders
- Experience leading teamsin a fast paced, results oriented environment
- Advancedgeneral management skills, includingleader developmentand conflict resolution capabilities
- Ability to maintain a high degree of customer and employee satisfaction while also exceeding financial goals
- Advanced knowledge of project management methodology, tools, and technique
- Proven ability to establish positive working relationships with clients and employees
- Solid knowledge of SQL Server 2016, Azure SQL Database with development of complex stored procedures, views, Azure Data Factory, and other SQL objects
- Experience with C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET
- Knowledge of Microsoft PowerBI and/or Microsoft Dynamics AX
Preferred skills/qualifications:
- Experience in MicrosoftSQL server
- Experience inSSRS
- Knowledge of Higher Education, Student Informationand FinanceSystems
