- Strong background in Quality Engineering, First Article Inspection, inspection planning, and aerospace manufacturing.
- Proven ability to lead teams, train others, and manage complex workflows.
- Experience with First Article Inspection software platforms, FAIR processes, or digital inspection systems, or the ability to learn them quickly.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, and inspection data.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- Excellent communication skills and comfort working across functions.
- Lead all onsite activities, including retrieval and validation of legacy inspection data, completion of master specification requirements, physical file and record reviews, and pre-inspection readiness and workflow coordination.
- Ensure First Article Inspection data is accurate, complete, and aligned with customer requirements.
- Serve as the onsite point of contact for the customer and Verify team.
- Train incoming Quality Engineering resources using the project’s train-the-trainer onboarding model.
- Translate tribal knowledge and undocumented workflows into clear, repeatable processes and deliverables.
- Ensure all Quality Engineering team members understand First Article Inspection workflows, inspection requirements, and documentation standards.
- Identify gaps in historical First Article Inspection documentation and drive resolution.
- Troubleshoot system access issues, system limitations, and workflow bottlenecks with the onsite team.
- Support mitigation strategies related to constraints, onsite access, and inspection readiness.
- Ensure compliance and validation of historical inspection data before incorporation into First Article Inspection Reports.
- Ensure alignment with customer requirements, compliance expectations, and governance.
- Support standardization of workflows for First Article Inspection execution, peer review, and signoff.
- Maintain Quality Engineering cadence meetings and weekly reporting.
- Communicate progress, risks, and resource needs to Verify and customer leadership.
- Collaborate with remote teams to ensure a seamless handoff of First Article Inspection data deliverables.
- Experience with Federal Aviation Administration or Department of Defense First Article Inspection requirements.
- Experience reconstructing legacy First Article Inspections or working in incomplete documentation environments.
- Coordinate Measuring Machine inspection workflows or manual inspection experience.
