Requirements
  • Appraiser II - Residential requires Associate’s degree or higher, or equivalency as defined in Utah State Code.
  • Two years of work experience as a residential or commercial appraiser.
  • Applicants must possess certification as Certified Residential Appraiser or higher with the Utah State Department of Commerce.
  • Applicants must obtain designation as Ad Valorem Residential Appraiser with the Utah State Tax Commission within two years of employment.
  • Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license and obtain a valid State of Utah driver’s license within sixty days of employment.
  • Selected applicants will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Responsibilities
  • Under general guidance and direction of the assigned Residential Appraisal Supervisor, performs essential work processes in support of property assessment and valuation.
  • Incumbents may be assigned to specific duties in New Construction or Detailed Review roles.

  • Preference may be given to applicants with work experience in assessing.
