Requirements
  • Minimum of three (3) years in commercial building management.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred, and a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • Firm understanding of commercial leases and operating expense recoveries and ability to partner with broker on leasing activity for the property.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities to communicate effectively with tenants, vendors, contractors, brokers, and interdepartmental teams to convey team goals.
  • Experience or ability to present information and respond to questions presented by leaders, clients, and the public.
  • Industry knowledge and ability to coordinate with leasing activity for property operations.
Responsibilities
  • Property Management: responsible for physical property maintenance by partnering with engineering team and vended services for the repair and maintenance needs and ensure a prompt best in class response to maintenance issues; develop and administer a capital improvement plan by evaluating property needs and ROI of proposed projects.
  • Lease Administration: oversight of all leases and lease amendments, review and track critical tenant and property information such as specific lease clauses, options, operating expense parameters and important dates.
  • Financial Administration: develop and administer the annual budget to align with ownership objectives, financial goals and industry standards; ensure accurate calculation and recovery of operating expenses and reimbursements; produce monthly variance reports and quarterly reforecasts.
  • People Leader: manage a team including Assistant Property Manager, Property Administrator, and/or maintenance staff; recruit, onboarding, scheduling, training, development, and evaluation; communicate policy and participate in staffing plans to support property and tenant needs while aligning with financial goals.
  • Leasing: support leasing process through participation in leasing meetings, broker engagement and tenant relations; oversee tenant improvements including coordination with architect, bidding, general contractor selection, contracting and execution; assist brokerage team with reporting on expirations and encumbered space, space planning coordination, contractor bids, marketing materials, and meetings with prospective tenants.

Sunnyvale's planning commission has approved a 225-residence apartment building near a Caltrain station

At its meeting Monday, the commission voted unanimously to approve Prometheus Real Estate Group Inc.'s plan to build an eight-story residential building on Kifer Road just west of Lawrence Expressway.
