Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant purchasing experience
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for planning, coordinating, executing and managing purchase orders with suppliers
  • Responsible for negotiating all aspects of a PO, pricing and delivery terms, purchase and schedule orders
  • Support procurements of a wide variety of requirements, ranging from raw material, services, fixed assets, and tooling. Opportunities to support NPI, production, repairs and sustainment
  • Track deliveries as required for factory operations. Perform tactical purchasing duties (expedites, defers, past due follow ups, etc.)
  • Works closely with management to resolve component shortages
  • Responsible for communicating material status to production and management
  • Proactively resolve problems and discrepancies with pricing, delivery, and quality of purchased commodities
  • Builds and maintains strong working relationships with internal customers and external suppliers and vendors
  • Maintain and comply with ISO9001, ISO 13485 and customer requirements
  • This position reports directly to the Procurement Manager
  • There may be opportunities for some leadership roles
  • Examples may include:
  • This person may be asked to be a lead of a commodity
  • Being a lead of a small commodity team
  • Commodity strategy and new vendor selection
  • Delegate for Procurement Manager
Desired Qualifications
  • Aerospace and Defense experience
  • Experience with FAR and DFARs
  • Experience in medical, production or pharmaceutical field
  • Masters degree
