Position Summary

Job Summary:

As the Manager of Quality Assurance, you will be responsible for managing the QA/Testing function for both slot development and foundational technology development on Slot Forge. You will work with a large cross-functional team that spans multiple locations (India and US) and development methodologies with one goal: Ensuring the industry's leading slot games are of the highest quality. You'll be held accountable to quality benchmarks and lead the team by identifying blockers in hitting those benchmarks and solutions in overcoming those challenges.

Essential Job Functions:

• Work on-site in our Cedar Falls, Iowa studio
• Lead the overall operations and testing activities across the project, recommending and driving testing strategy
• Hire, mentor, and motivate a team of world-class QA professionals.
• Provide leadership and technical expertise within QA teams and across the broader development teams for Slot Forge.
• Introduce and implement industry QA best practices to the team and contribute to improving the team's overall functional craft
• Define and track relevant KPIs to measure the QA team's efforts, efficiency, and success for Slot Forge.
• Set well-defined expectations and goals for QA roles and provide support for your teams' career growth and personal development
• Directly manage and assist QA Managers and Leads in building effective testing strategies for their assigned projects
• Improve department and team processes by working with other disciplines, including Production, Math, Engineering, Art, Design, and Sound
• Develop test plans and test strategies for slot features and content
• Participate in all aspects of the project life-cycle, from design to production to release and live support
• Use a goal oriented approach to drive the continuous improvement of the Slot Forge Testing department

Qualifications:

Required Experience:

• 5+ years in a Test Lead / Manager position or 10+ years of Testing experience
• Experience with game development (mobile and slot development preferred)
• Experience managing multiple Testing leads and their teams
• Deep-level knowledge of the SDLC
• Extensive experience in various development and test methodologies, test coverage analysis, and test management
• Passion for Testing and Gaming
• Strong team-building and empowerment skills
• Ability to clearly and articulately communicate across functions, disciplines, and audiences
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills while exercising sound judgment
• Comfortable as a "hands-on" manager and willing to roll up your sleeves to get things done
• Experience with waterfall / agile / kanban development processes
• Ability to use data to inform process and test strategy improvements
• Experience with a risk-based testing approach
   

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with Test automation for mobile apps
• Experience working with distributed test teams
• Experience using AI for testing strategies
