Requirements
  • One to two years of experience in nonprofits with fundraising, marketing, or community relations.
  • Excellent communication, organization, attention to detail, and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite and experience working in donor databases.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and leadership levels.
  • Ability to prioritize, handle a variety of tasks, and be self-directed.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Pass the Department of Human Services background check and maintain qualified status.
  • Have a current valid driver's license and insurance as required by state law.
  • Must not be excluded from working in government health programs by the Office of Inspector General.
Responsibilities
  • Process and record donations, pledges, matching gifts, and in-kind contributions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and distribute donor acknowledgments, tax receipts, and stewardship communications.
  • Support donor recognition and stewardship efforts.
  • Respond to donor inquiries and help ensure a positive and professional donor experience.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to support accurate gift reconciliation, reporting, and record management.
  • Maintain donor data integrity through ongoing review, updates, and quality control.
  • Generate fundraising reports, mailing lists, donor analytics, and campaign data.
  • Track donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities.
  • Support fundraising audits, reconciliations, and reporting needs.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Development team and fundraising initiatives.
  • Support fundraising campaigns, appeals, donor engagement activities, and prospect research.
  • Manage the Development email inbox and coordinate donor, volunteer, and community partner communications.
  • Partner with colleagues across departments to coordinate fundraising activities, community engagement efforts, and organizational priorities.
  • Support board and volunteer committees by coordinating logistics, communications, meeting materials, follow-up activities, and recordkeeping as directed by the Director of Development.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, solve problems proactively, and help the Development team operate efficiently and effectively.
  • Support fundraising events through sponsor tracking, guest registration, donor records management, and event reporting.
  • Serve as a point of contact for sponsors, donors, volunteers, and community partners, ensuring timely communication and a positive experience.
  • Support sponsor stewardship and recognition activities, including coordinating materials, benefits, and follow-up communications.
  • Assist with event preparation, on-site support, post-event follow-up, and event-related gift processing, acknowledgments, and reconciliation.

  • Two or more years of experience in nonprofit administration, fundraising operations, donor services, database management, or a related field.
  • Experience working with donor databases or customer relationship management systems; DonorPerfect experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of intellectual and developmental disabilities or the disability community.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
