Requirements
  • Education & Years of Experience – ABET-accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Citizenship – To be considered, you must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work
  • Clearance – To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed
  • Experience in ASME B31.3 Process Piping Design.
  • Requires an understanding of Conduct of Engineering, Conduct of Operations, Conduct of Maintenance for facilities operating within a nuclear regulated environment.
  • Requires strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interface effectively with various clients, production and support organizations, management, and hourly wage employees.
  • Must be willing to perform field walk-downs and work in a production environment.
Responsibilities
  • Provide CNS Mission Engineering with full time piping design engineering support for facility and production area activities in Cat 2 and Cat 3 facilities.
  • Provide design output documentation to support major facility modifications.
  • Develop design output documents such as drawings, engineering instructions, data sheets, equipment specifications, equivalency evaluations, calculations, etc.
  • Work with other engineering disciplines and other plant organizations to produce timely design outputs.

  • Experience in a NRC or DOE regulated environment.
