Your Experience
Qualifications:
Passed at least one relevant undergraduate course to Controls
Relevant project experience
Knowledge of Controls Theory, transfer functions, filters, etc
Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and test in a fast-paced environment
Skills:
Experience with Matlab and Simulink
Familiarity with ROS/ROS2
Familiarity with Python and C/C++
Understanding of embedded development constraints
Familiarity with distributed design and experience with multithreading and concurrency
Traits:
Above all else, a consistently positive attitude and a willingness to do whatever it takes to create robust solutions to complex problems (See pg. 3 for more trait options)
Optimistic listening and conflict resolution capabilities
Demonstrated ability to influence others without authority

Your New Role and Team

Our Engineering team is looking to hire a Controls Engineer. Reporting to the Controls Team Lead, you’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of our design, architecture, and implementation of our hardware and controls platform that power our general-purpose robots.

The best candidates for this role have excellent controls theory knowledge and extensive hands-on experience controlling hardware in real life. You’ll be a valued contributor as you learn and adapt to new, complex development environments, own solutions from design and execution through to deployment and support, and innovate best practices that drive continuous improvements in our robotic systems.
