  • Formulate and execute well-crafted translational and biomarker strategies for early clinical asset(s) to advance from pre-IND to Clinical Proof of Concept and design additional translational studies to support expanded indications in line with overall clinical development plan
  • Lead a team of 4 or more lab-based PhD level and associate level biomarker scientists, including Translational Pathology function, and act as interface among groups, including drug discovery, early clinical development, translational medicine, and TSDx
  • Act as Translational Asset Lead, lead an asset-focused Translational sub team and work closely with Discovery Biology, in vivo Pharmacology, bioinformatics group, and early clinical development team. Provide scientific leadership and design/implement biomarker aspects of early clinical development, input and review relevant regulatory documents (IB, Clinical Protocol, Clinical Study Report, etc)
  • Be responsible / accountable for biomarker data generation through cutting-edge technologies, interpretation and communications of key biomarker program information, risks, and milestones to internal teams as well as external KOLs. Contribute to data disclosure strategy and deliverables (conference, scientific publications etc)
  • Contribute to due diligence efforts, as needed, for external collaborations
  • Required
  • Ph.D. or equivalent advanced degree, in oncology, immunology, or immuno-oncology, and at least 15 years of industry experience in drug discovery and development
  • 6-8 years of leadership experience
  • Demonstrated Scientific acumen and Translational research and clinical biomarkers development experience with mechanistic understanding of disease biology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to recognize, articulate, and accept calculated risks to make informed decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to lead others through change by navigating ambiguity, providing context, and engaging individuals
  • Ability to develop talent, grow next-generation translational leaders and delegate key projects appropriately
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where speed is paramount
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively influence stakeholders in a dynamic, matrixed organization
