Work schedule is required to be in person on the WSU Pullman, WA, campus, 5 days per week (Monday – Friday) with an opportunity for a hybrid schedule during the summer months.

Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in a field related to the functional managerial area which has included at least one (1) year of supervisory experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
  • Master’s degree and one year of experience in teaching, academic support, writing centers, or student services.
  • Demonstrated experience in mentoring, tutoring, or teaching.
  • Experience supervising or managing student employees or teams.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Assessment, Outreach and Professional Engagement: 10%
  • Other Duties as Assigned: 5%
Desired Qualifications
  • PhD degree in Writing Studies, Rhetoric/Composition, English, Education, or related field.
  • Experience teaching or working in higher education writing centers or learning commons.
  • Familiarity with writing center theory, peer tutoring, and multilingual student support.
  • Experience with educational technology platforms, including WCOnline, Canvas, or Zoom.
