Requirements
- Experience: 2-5 years in related role (implied by Exp 2-5 yrs).
- Successfully pass a 2-hour written exam.
- Successfully pass a 16-hour hands-on mechanical test.
- Must be able to weld, cut, solder and braze.
- The ability to work near high voltage electricity, molten metal, heavy equipment, various gases, moving machinery, high above the floor and in a congested or confined areas.

Responsibilities
- Inspect equipment and plan repairs for service required.
- Check blueprints, diagrams, or drawings for repairs or installations when necessary and perform lay-out work and fabrication.
- Use various hand tools and equipment to dismantle, repair, replace and reassemble parts and equipment.
- Assemble and align gears, bearings, cams, and shafts involving the application of press, sliding and running fits.
- Operate machinery such as drill presses, lathes, mills, grinders, power saws, and cutting and threading machines.
- Perform maintenance pipefitting on all equipment.
- Change, set up, and adjust equipment as required.
- Lubricate or direct others to lubricate equipment.
- Use all common and precision checking equipment, laser equipment, and portable power tools.
- Install, repair, and maintain pumps.
- Repair hydraulic equipment.
- Operate metal cutting and forming equipment.
- Operate compressors, valves, turbines, steam delivery systems.
- Operate material handling equipment.
Desired Qualifications
- Strong mechanical background.
- Machine shop experience.
- Technical degree/diploma.
