Simplify Jobs

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • LaRiviere won Idaho DOT's $3.26 million Snake River Avenue bridge contract on February 25, 2026.
  • It bid the $377,036 I-90 stormwater job in March 2026, showing active backlog pursuit.
  • 2024 Lewiston expansion and Boise heavy-civil growth broadened its addressable market this year.

What critics are saying

  • Public works concentration exposes LaRiviere to Idaho DOT delays and budget cuts after 2026.
  • Fixed-bid bridge and drainage jobs compress margins when materials, labor, or weather slip.
  • A failed major project or bonding downgrade would cripple awards and threaten survival.

What makes LaRiviere unique

  • LaRiviere self-performs excavation, concrete, and heavy civil work from Rathdrum and Boise.
  • Tommy LaRiviere still runs the business, preserving founder-led field discipline and speed.
  • Its 43-year Idaho footprint and 800-project history strengthen local relationships and bonding.
