Requirements
  • A good understanding of business systems, the financial industry, and system development lifecycle methodologies, with emphasis on the analysis stage.
  • Deep knowledge of front office systems, middle office, and data management.
  • Experience writing stories and requirements to support microservices.
  • Experience as a Product Owner using Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with detailed mapping and transaction transformation requirements.
  • A bachelor's degree or a minimum of 14+ years of experience as an interface mapping analyst or business analyst.
  • Transaction management experience is required.
  • Experience with Capital Markets products and Middle Office Servicing is required.
  • Extensive detailed SWIFT Market Practice knowledge of inbound and outbound SWIFT messages, including Financial Messaging: SWIFT ISO 7775, ISO 15022, and ISO 20022.
  • A good understanding of industry-standard messaging formats, including AVRO, JSON, XML, FPML, SWIFT MT950, SWIFT MT940, MX, and CAMT53.
  • Demonstrated skill in the implementation phase of large and complex projects.
  • The ability to analyze and initiate new concepts and functionality in a changing environment and obtain pertinent information through research and interaction with clients and users.

Responsibilities
  • Identify, compile, analyze, and document interface mapping requirements and business requirements that accurately reflect business needs.
  • Create interface mapping definitions within specified business tool sets from defined requirements.
  • Thoroughly test and document mapping specifications, workflows, and interface testing.
  • Gather business and system requirements by facilitating user and client meetings, interviewing users, and researching and resolving issues.
  • Support ongoing project management, including progress monitoring, reporting, and quality assurance throughout the project.
  • Document business requirements using clear, concise language consistent with the methodology framework.
  • Participate in special projects, including conducting research and collecting and providing requested data.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership to the business analysis and data-mapping team, including work allocation, quality oversight, issue resolution, and delivery accountability across client and platform initiatives.
  • Support monthly production deployment activities to ensure stable and timely releases.
  • Coordinate with global teams in China and India as required.
  • Coordinate delivery across functional areas to deliver solutions and standardize and drive product development where possible.
  • Analyze workflows and strategic scenarios, and review and evaluate existing business models and future processes or solutions.
  • Identify, solve, or escalate potential issues and risks during development life cycles.
  • Collaborate with cross-regional teams and work with onshore and offshore business analysts, product owners, developers, and quality assurance personnel to deliver consistent and timely results.
Desired Qualifications
  • Awareness of Agile processes, including RTC, story writing, Scrum, and/or Kanban.
  • Experience with State Street Transformation tools ISVC, IDW, and DEH.
  • Working knowledge of Listed Securities, Bank Loans, OTC Derivatives, FX, and Cash trade processing.
  • Experience with Middle Office and Back Office processing and Trade Order Management Systems.
  • Experience or understanding of Kafka Messaging, MQ, and SFTP.
  • A good understanding of BPMN diagrams and workflows.
  • Experience or understanding of SQL and database query skills.
  • State Street-specific understanding of flows and processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

State Street names Tim Helyar as head of Asia Pacific. Helyar succeeds Lochiel Crafter, who recently retired, and reports to Stefan Gmuer, head of International. 9 September 2026 State Street Corporation today appointed Tim Helyar as head of Asia Pacific, effective immediately, supporting the company's regional growth strategy. Based in Hong Kong, Helyar (pictured) will oversee State Street's Asia Pacific business strategy, partnering with country, functional and business leaders to strengthen governance, deepen client and regulator engagement and accelerate regional growth. He succeeds Lochiel Crafter, who recently retired, and reports to Stefan Gmuer, head of International. "Tim is a proven leader with deep investment services expertise and a strong track record of delivering for clients," said Gmuer, in a statement. "His regional knowledge and collaborative leadership will help advance our growth strategy across Asia Pacific, while supporting regional clients as they seek to unlock growth, gain efficiencies and seize new opportunities." Helyar has more than 27 years of financial services experience across investment services, pension, investment and wealth management. He joined State Street in 2021 and was most recently head of Australia. Previously, he was head of fund services product development for Asia Pacific at JP Morgan. State Street Corporation has acquired a 5.49% voting stake in Inghams Group Limited, becoming a substantial shareholder effective 4 September 2026. The investment firm and its subsidiaries hold relevant interest in 20,410,450 ordinary shares. The stake is held through multiple State Street entities, including State Street Bank and Trust Company, SSGA Funds Management Inc., State Street Global Advisors Trust Company, and State Street Global Advisors Australia Limited. These interests encompass securities lending arrangements, collateral securities, and investment management authority. State Street filed Form 603 on 8 September 2026, disclosing the initial substantial holding.
