  • Bachelors degree in Communications, English Studies or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in internal communications or corporate communications, preferably in a corporate setting or related.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for driving a shared understanding of Discover's, and the Business Unit's, strategic priorities among employees through the Company's internal communication channels.
  • Responsible for the creation, execution and measurement of integrated communications plans in strategic support of key business initiatives.
  • Serve as contact and counsel for business partners in support of key internal communications efforts, providing strategic guidance to help them meet their business goals.
  • Write, edit, and develop informative and creative content to support HR programs, culture, awareness, and engagement across the organization.
  • Copywriter and designer for emails and intranet articles, fact checking and ensuring accuracy of all communications with subject matter experts.
  • Manage BU wide editorial calendar and metrics reporting, including prioritizing communications based on content, time sensitivity, and our goal of driving an understanding of Discover's and the Business Unit's key focus areas.
  • Consult, develop, and lead the online management and communications of internal intranet sites - including content development, updates to ensure current and relevant content, and identification of opportunities to increase engagement.
  • Proactively identify enhancement opportunities to increase usage and engagement of the BU employee population with all forms of BU-wide communication (utilizing all media channels)
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in the human resources function and knowledge of programs and practices with a focus on benefits and compensation.
  • Expertise in copywriting and experience with communications tools such as Poppulo, Canva, etc.
