Requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a product design capacity, with 2+ years in a senior or lead capacity
  • Strong visual and interaction craft skills (and willingness to be opinionated about it)
  • Ability to lead PM, analyst, engineering teammates through design-thinking exercises (brainstorming, voting, etc)
  • Comfort with communicating our vision and with educating and influencing across a diverse team (from engineering, to movers and leadership teammates)
  • Ability to turn complex processes (moving is hard!) into digestible, winnable services and experiences for a diverse set of customers
  • An ability to pick the right research tools (interviews, unmoderated studies, etc) to move projects forward
  • Can advocate for the customer experience beyond immediate project work, across operations, leadership, or any other part of the org
  • Experience with (or aptitude to grow into) managing product designers across craft skill development, product strategy, and work habits
Responsibilities
  • Develop, iterate, and maintain our product design process (internal to design org as well as across product engineering team)
  • Launch new experiences by defining user problems, deciding on flows, prototyping, testing, visual design, and post-release measurement
  • Lead other designers in daily/weekly process and provide mentorship to level-up their output
  • Be the single-threaded owner of the language we use to communicate our services to customers through out site - and partner closely with Marketing on how to communicate our services externally
  • Though a majority of time (~80%) will be spent on product design work, ~20-30% will be spent helping our Marketing team design offsite user experiences, collaborating on the visual assets that will drive these experiences
  • Raise the bar for visual and UX excellence anywhere customers experience Clutter
  • Collaborate with PMs, eng leads and analysts on vision, problem definition, and scoping; we believe in these three roles working together from the beginning of each project
  • Set and maintain a vision for how customers and internal users (movers, warehouse associates) will find success holistically on our platforms

Clutter's mission is to make people’s lives convenient, so they can experience more of what they love. This magic is made possible by the company's proprietary, end-to-end technology.
