Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of Hands on network security experience, with a focus on firewalls, IPS/IDS, and VPNs.
  • Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls, Panorama, and GlobalProtect VPN.
  • Demonstrated experience with Applications with respect to Layer 7/Next Gen Firewalls, protocols, network traffic flows & routing/switching
  • Familiarity with Google Chronicle, Microsoft Sentinel, Infoblox, and FireMon is preferred.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation to optimize network security processes.
  • Solid understanding of PCI and NIST standards and experience supporting audits.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain Palo Alto firewalls, including Threat Prevention, URL Filtering, and GlobalProtect VPN, ensuring robust network protection and uptime.
  • Conduct regular IPS/IDS reviews, responding to potential threats and escalating to Incident Response teams as needed.
  • Utilize tools such as Google Chronicle and FireMon to support network security operations and compliance.
  • Handle and resolve network security-related tickets through Cherwell, providing efficient support and troubleshooting.
  • Automate repetitive network security tasks using scripting languages to streamline operations and enhance response times.
  • Ensure compliance with PCI and NIST standards, participating in audits and reviews as required.
