  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on IP address management. Proven experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable IPAM solutions, emphasizing optimization and future growth.
  • This position requires the incumbent to reside in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area or be willing to relocate.
Responsibilities
  • Proactively monitor IP address usage trends and recommend adjustments to support business expansion and prevent exhaustion.
  • Designs and implements IP address architecture for new network deployments.
  • Develops a comprehensive IPAM strategy that aligns with the organization's long-term growth plans, ensuring scalability, flexibility, and integration with current and future infrastructure.
  • Designs and maintains a roadmap for IPAM technology upgrades that incorporates emerging trends, tools, and industry standards, ensuring the organization stays ahead of the curve.
  • Upgrades, patches, and maintains IPAM infrastructure both on-premises and in the cloud to ensure peak performance, security, and reliability.
  • Provides guidance for the design and integration of applications, ensuring efficient IPAM implementation.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and IT support teams to develop best practices, standard operating procedures, and training programs for improved team performance.
  • Ensures seamless integration between IPAM systems and network monitoring or management tools.
  • Identifies and resolves IP-related conflicts quickly, minimizing downtime and operational disruptions.
  • Delivers advanced technical support for IPAM escalations and ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Develops and maintain IP documentation, including subnet usage, and allocation reports.
  • Ensures compliance with organizational standards, regulatory guidelines, and industry best practices for IP address management.
  • Performs capacity planning and recommend strategies for scaling IP resources according to business needs.
  • Stays current with emerging IPAM technologies and trends to enhance IP management capabilities; contribute to network automation efforts by developing scripts and tools to streamline software-defined network solutions.
  • Coordinates cross-functionally with multiple teams to manage schedules, ensuring successful project execution and alignment.
  • Designs detailed network architecture specifications, including MOPs and comprehensive project plans.
  • Provides detailed insights for hardware and software selection, implementation methodologies, and tools that meet current and future business needs.
  • Mentors and supports junior Network Engineers, fostering skill development and knowledge transfer.
  • Maintains awareness of technological advancements, industry trends, and regulatory changes through training, trade shows, and professional development opportunities.
  • Implements security best practices to safeguard cloud network infrastructure against cyber threats and unauthorized access.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
