Requirements
  • An associate degree in Poultry or Agricultural Science or other related discipline from an accredited institution; Bachelor’s degree preferred; combination of experience and education may be substituted for degree
  • Valid Driver’s License with a safe driving history
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in poultry grow-out
  • Minimum three (3) years demonstrated leadership experience in a similar environment including knowledge of timekeeping requirements, policy adherence, Top 25 behaviors, conflict resolution with the ability to resolve issues efficiently and effectively
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; must communicate effectively in English
  • Proficient computer and mathematics skills
  • Self-starter who demonstrates strong initiative and sense of urgency, with the ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail
  • Must possess a strong customer-centric attitude, high energy level and a strong sense of urgency
Responsibilities
  • Partner with Broiler Manager to establish and ensure compliance with procedures by advising Representatives and growers regarding best practices, policies, procedures, bio security, Animal Welfare, etc. and communicating changes and/or implementation of new policies or practices
  • Ensure required reporting is completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner (i.e. broiler flock completion reports, processing reports, live weight, headcount estimates, etc.) assisting Manager, Representatives and/or Clerks as needed
  • Assist with and provide input towards broiler flock evaluation, Broiler Representative performance and contract broiler grower’s performance
  • Manage broiler producer relationships, breeder growing agreements and goods and services, monitoring performance and associated costs ensuring company objectives are met
  • Mentor, coach and train/ cross-train employees encouraging career development; provide consistent feedback concerning strengths and areas in need of improvement
  • Follow and promote all safety initiatives, helping to maintain a zero accident culture
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with Company policies, NCC Animal Welfare guidelines, and Federal and State regulations (i.e. USDA, OSHA, etc.) while achieving the highest level of productivity
  • Perform additional relevant duties as assigned
