Requirements
  • High school graduation or equivalent GED.
  • Demonstrated experience in facilities operations and/or maintenance-related work.
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner.
  • Mature judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to pass a pre-hire background check and drug screen.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • U.S. citizenship.
Responsibilities
  • Work directly with all contract departments as required to schedule and accomplish work activities within customer-set timeframes.
  • Ensure effective and productive use of the computerized maintenance management system by disseminating, tracking, and closing work activities.
  • Schedule on-call and preventive maintenance personnel to perform routine work requirements.
  • Schedule work orders and assign personnel based on work priority classification.
  • Track and manage assigned work activities to ensure productivity, quality, and safe completion.
  • Coordinate with government-appointed building representatives to ensure activities are scheduled in advance, including when additional safety protocols or personnel displacement are required.
  • Review site work with the Quality Control Manager to verify compliance with applicable plans, procedures, and governing codes.
  • Establish and use productivity metrics for assigned work and provide subsequent reporting to the Operations Manager in coordination with the work control department.
  • Coordinate identification of proper materials, parts assemblies, and requirements for requisitions necessary for job tasks.
  • Provide leadership, training, motivation, performance evaluation, coaching, recognition, and accountability for maintenance department employees.
  • Interpret, apply, and explain complex codes, regulations, and procedures.
  • Prepare and present weekly or monthly technical progress reports as needed.
  • Confer with and advise other management personnel regarding maintenance projects and priorities.
  • Assist in developing cost estimates, budgets, correspondence, and status reports.
  • Ensure assigned tradesmen have the proper personal protective equipment and tools to perform their work.
  • Support other department staff as needed or directed.
  • Adhere to established safety and personnel policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance needs or conditions as required.
  • Safely operate government-owned and company motor vehicles as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Five years of experience directly supervising operations and maintenance work on a government facility.
  • A state-issued master's trades license in good standing.
  • Understanding of government contracts, correspondence, reports, and records.
