Responsibilities
  • Taking full strategic ownership of allocated events, developing a three-year plan to drive their growth.
  • Overseeing content delivery for global thought-provoking and commercially viable events across multiple formats.
  • Conducting thorough research on allocated sectors / themes and developing relationships with internal (including FT Journalists) and external partners to grow core events, identify business opportunities and contribute to revenue generation efforts.
  • Devising the strategy and schedule for new event launches.
  • Joining commercial conversations to test new concepts and ensure portfolio growth.
  • Creating effective working relationships with other teams and departments across the wider business.
  • Devising commercial and marketing strategies with key counterparts.
  • Researching, writing and producing innovative, high-quality event programmes (in-person, digital and hybrid) for both core and single-sponsored B2B events, and confirming exceptional speakers.
  • Managing and mentoring – where required – interns, junior content editors or freelancers.
  • Contributing to organisational and process changes needed to deliver results in a dynamic live and virtual events business.
  • Liaising with FT editorial to optimise the use of FT.com video and other FT digital output to enhance FT Live events.
