Requirements
  • High School diploma/GED or a combination or education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma, required
  • Three (3) years in a sales, sales support or sales analysis role with a prior track record for providing key customer support and maintaining customer relations is required
  • Experience with analytics and preparing presentations to report findings required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities
  • Monitor AC service queue and take ownership of assigned AE requests
  • Monitor customer requirements for assigned AEs / customers provided from USF’s National Sales corporate office (Air Traffic Control-ATC). Take timely and accurate action as directed
  • Participate in weekly AE collaboration calls, proactively monitor assigned AE’s planned customer visits / activities, and take actions to drive profitable growth
  • Contribute to the company's outbound customer impression goals by initiating pre-planned customer interaction
  • Produce and analyze customer-specific reports to facilitate opportunities: maximizing customer’s contracted product utilization, decreasing slow/dead inventory, improving service levels, tracking complicated orders (customer events, large special orders)
  • Prepare CBRs for AE’s upcoming customer sales calls, producing materials from existing templates, tracking completion of reviews and providing detailed analysis on the impact to sales; Monitor follow-up from business reviews, including tracking post review activities, action items and communicating to relevant stakeholders to ensure successful follow-up and resolution
  • Utilize customer relationship management platform to proactively analyze customer product and service recommendations based on customer-specific knowledge and leverage USF’s e-commerce platform to present opportunities to customers
  • Make informed product conversion recommendations to AEs to drive profitability; leverage product research on key attributes (nutritional’s, price, EB, compliance, etc.). Monitor follow-up from product conversions including coordinating new item requests, submitting customer’s forecasted volume to Replenishment (DCTs), and updating customer lists / order guides
  • Analyze quarterly bank statements and other rebate programs to identify opportunities to grow profitable sales, make recommendations to AE and customers
  • Coordinate and track LTOs and new/discontinued items in conjunction with other functions
  • Set up and proactively maintain customer’s master shopping lists and/or order guides to prevent out-of-stocks during customer’s ordering cycle; partner with Merchandising to find acceptable customer product substitutes
  • Monitor customer’s proprietary slow moving and dead inventory. Produce product listings and usage to AE and customer. Make recommendations to convert slow items to USF’s exclusive brands to optimize customer’s service level
  • Set up and maintain General ledger Coding and Invoice Sequencing based on customer-specific requirements
  • Resolve customer pricing concerns with Customer Operations. Upload mass credit/debit requests, as needed
  • Partner with cross-functional partners to ensure timely and accurate new customer set-up, on-boarding, and maintenance
  • Analyze prospective customer’s product requirements and produce recommended order guides
  • Proactively identify at-risk customers based on churn indicators, including tracking category declines, poor service level and skip days; communicate and make recommendations to AEs of at-risk accounts to be fed into SOS processes and Customer Satisfaction routine
  • Engage in formal US Foods performance management programs
  • Actively participate in personal development through conversations with leadership and contributing to the creation of individual development plans
  • Attend sales meetings to keep apprised of sales strategies and product trainings / cuttings to develop and grow product / vendor knowledge

US Foods wins $124M defense contract to supply military through 2031

US Food Holdings Corp has secured a five-year indefinite-delivery contract from the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support, with a maximum value of $124 million. The fixed-price arrangement with economic-price adjustments will provide subsistence prime vendor assistance to the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and other federal civilian agencies through March 2031. The contract was awarded after a competitive procedure with two submissions and will use defence working capital funds appropriated for fiscal years 2026 through 2031. Separately, US Foods reported strong full-year 2025 results on 12 February, with net income reaching $676 million and total sales of $39.4 billion. The company repurchased 11.9 million shares and projected net sales growth of 4–6% for fiscal year 2026.
