Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 2.8
  • Authorized to work in the United States without Sponsorship now or in the future or CPT/OPT through your University.
  • Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s/Masters/MBA/PhD program at an accredited US based university or college
  • Must be a Rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in undergrad or a Graduate or Doctoral Student
  • Must be enrolled full-time in the Fall Semester at an accredited university/college after the completion of the internship
  • Must be able to complete a 10-12 consecutive week internship between May and August
  • Must be able to relocate if necessary and work at the designated site for the duration of the internship
Responsibilities
  • Work as part of an Agile team to understand requirements of Supply Chain and Manufacturing (PDM) business applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Using an established software build platform, compile and deploy complex business applications.
  • Learn and use the cloud platforms (PDM data lake), data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Databricks, Python, SQL, R) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Conduct data cleaning, transformation, and analysis using statistical and data mining techniques.
  • Develop data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights effectively.
  • Integrate the new software into the rapidly evolving manufacturing and supply chain environment.
  • Support advanced AI/ML, Gen AI, and data science use cases in the PDM areas.
  • Support the implementation of data-driven solutions to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making.
  • Learn and exercise about Gilead’s data governance and quality standards.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to project discussions.
  • Integrate Data & Analytics workflows from other platforms with the PDM business environment
  • Contribute to solution documentation.
  • Do appropriate education, planning, and follow-through to stay technically current.
  • Showcase your work with a final presentation (PPT) near the conclusion of your internship.
