Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience is required.
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Instrument Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering is required.
  • Knowledge of Instrumentation Society of America, American Petroleum Institute, and American Society of Mechanical Engineers instrumentation standards is required.
  • Experience working with other disciplines is required.
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills are required.
  • The employee must possess physical mobility on the ground and at heights.
  • The employee may be required to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds.
  • The employee may be required to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and use required fall protection.
  • The employee must be able to work in all weather conditions while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • The employee may be required to work in confined spaces.
  • The employee may be required to adhere to a client's random drug testing program.
  • The employee may be required to meet a client's facial hair safety policy.
Responsibilities
  • Review project requirements and scopes of work.
  • Attend client technical meetings and field walk-down meetings.
  • Perform instrument site surveys and walkdowns.
  • Develop and prepare as-built or as-found instrumentation documentation.
  • Perform client instrument documentation searches to find required project documents.
  • Generate instrumentation data sheets, loop drawings, installation details, instrument lists, distributed control system/program logic controller input/output lists, and piping and instrumentation diagrams.
  • Provide technical support for field execution, including outage and turnaround projects.
Desired Qualifications
  • An Engineer-in-Training designation is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SmartPlant Instrumentation is preferred.
