Requirements
  • A minimum of three years' experience as an editor, preferably in the financial services industry or in business journalism.
  • Acute attention to detail alongside strong copy editing, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with functional team members and stakeholders.
  • Capacity to manage competing deadlines and work with minimal supervision.
  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with Adobe InDesign and Illustrator is an asset.
  • University degree in a related field.
  • Basic understanding of debt markets, securitization, and credit ratings.
Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate, high-quality editing and proofreading of documents, including press releases, credit rating reports, industry research, and analytical methodologies, in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to regional spelling conventions and style requirements across multiple geographies.
  • Maintain relationships with credit analysts, designers, management, and other stakeholders to refine and enhance content.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize according to deadlines.
  • Ensure all deliverables comply with regulatory requirements as well as internal editorial standards for style, conventions, and brand.
  • Work on call, including evenings and weekends, as part of an editorial rotation to meet urgent business needs outside regular business hours.

Morningstar reports 9.6% revenue growth to $663M, Q2 operating income surges 28%

Morningstar reported second-quarter 2026 revenue of $663.2 million, up 9.6% year-over-year, with organic revenue growing 6.8%. Operating income increased 28.4% to $160.6 million, whilst adjusted operating income rose 22.7%. Diluted earnings per share climbed 35.4% to $2.83, with adjusted diluted earnings per share up 29.2% to $3.10. Free cash flow surged 96.3% to $122.5 million. CEO Kunal Kapoor highlighted the company's focus on building agentic workflows atop its data and research, plus helping investors navigate converging public and private markets. Morningstar Credit, Morningstar Direct Platform, and PitchBook were key organic revenue contributors. The investment insights provider repurchased 567,844 shares for $100 million during the quarter.

Morningstar debuts AI exit timing tool as shares trade 26% above estimated fair value

Morningstar embeds investment intelligence into Microsoft 365 Copilot with AI integrations
