Principal Associate, Project Manager - FPDS

Capital One’s Finance Product and Data Solutions (FPDS) organization is standing up a Program and Project Management team embedded within the FPDS Product organization. FPDS Product manages a portfolio of products that support Capital One’s broader Finance organization and the enterprise at large, products that are transforming the way we do business and that support fundamental and business-critical capabilities.
This role is an opportunity to co-create and design the future of the FPDS Product organization and to work on small to large scale projects aligned to FPDS’ portfolio of products. With this in mind, we are looking for innovative, bold leaders that take ownership in driving outcomes while influencing and collaborating with a diverse group of stakeholders with varying perspectives and priorities.
General Responsibilities:
Plan, design, manage and execute strategic and tactical project plans to ensure timely delivery throughout the full product life-cycle
Leverage analytical skills, problem-solving skills and sound judgment to: drive projects based on defined priorities; ensure adherence to scope of deliverables, timeliness and budget; and identify risks and dependencies, and discern appropriate mitigation and/or escalation
Forge relationships with key stakeholders across all levels to ensure timely delivery of commitments, utilizing a collaborative and solutions-oriented approach
Identify and implement ways to improve and streamline business processes, prioritizing standardization and scalability
Exhibit a proven track record of project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage the work
Utilize program tracking and reporting tools to provide visibility and scalable ways to assess value and track value realization
Demonstrate organizational agility to adapt to changing demands
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
At least 5 Years Project Management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters or MBA degree
7+ years of Project Management experience
PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Strong problem solving and influencing skills
