- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training from the American Heart Association is required.
- At least one of the following is required: previous nurse’s aide experience in a hospital setting; certification from an approved accredited nurse aide training program; or current enrollment in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at the junior-year level and/or completion of at least one clinical practicum.
- Provide selected patient-care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Measure and record patients’ temperatures, pulses, respirations, and blood pressure.
- Ensure delivery of meals and safe patient transport.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment.
- Support nurses and intensive care unit technicians in providing patient care.
