The JPB Foundation is a philanthropic organization that aims to create lasting change in the United States by focusing on alleviating poverty, promoting environmental sustainability, and advancing medical research. It operates through a collaborative grantmaking model, working closely with selected organizations to fund projects that align with its mission. Unlike many foundations, JPB Foundation does not accept unsolicited proposals; instead, it invites organizations to apply for grants, ensuring partnerships with strong leaders capable of driving significant change. The foundation provides financial support primarily to non-profit organizations and research institutions, emphasizing a proactive approach that seeks to prevent issues rather than just addressing them after they occur. By fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion, JPB Foundation aims to amplify its impact and empower communities, particularly in the areas of health equity and economic justice.
