Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, one to three years’ relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of both.
  • Ability to read and understand work orders, blueprints, and similar documents.
  • Ability to use micrometers, calipers, and other measuring devices.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to adapt to organizational and employee needs.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective written and oral communication.
  • Ability to frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect produced parts.
  • Ability to work on foot, use tools, and perform repetitive actions involving bending and stooping.
Responsibilities
  • Manufacture parts according to plant specifications using press brake machine centers.
  • Load and unload materials onto and off machines.
  • Follow process and procedure instructions to operate machines.
  • Prepare presses for production by adjusting calibrations and machine settings and reviewing proof documents.
  • Operate presses to produce high-quality fabricated sheet metal parts.
  • Process required documentation and paperwork for completed processes.
  • Coordinate with other shifts regarding remaining work, issues, and shift-to-shift notes.
  • Maintain the work area to ensure consistent operations and clean, orderly workstations.
  • Perform basic machine maintenance, including cleaning machines and the dust collector and greasing specified grease points.
  • Comply with quality, safety, and sanitation regulations.
