Responsibilities:

• Design of next generation sensor and computing platform hardware from electronics and electrical aspects
• Define requirements, test and validation plans for electronic and electrical sub-systems
• Work with cross functional teams to design, verify, and bring up the electrical distribution framework and the wiring harness systems
• Support validation teams to complete bench and vehicle level durability, electromagnetic compatibility, etc. for regulatory compliance
• Troubleshoot and root cause, document, and drive to issue resolution
• Work closely with manufacturing/suppliers to ensure bring up success and diagnostics tools are developed for production deployment and service
• Create schematics for PCB and wiring harnesses
• Translate system schematics into PCB layouts and wiring diagrams 

Required Skills: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• 0-3 years of experience. 
• Knowledge of checking: Signal integrity, system diagrams, wiring diagrams, and harnesses and cables for accuracy
• CAN bus and ethernet experience, including debugging
• Electrical circuit design and debugging skills
• Use of standard electronic tools such as oscilloscopes, soldering irons, signal generators, etc.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with automotive systems.
• Experience with 2D AutoCAD software application, including wiring harness design.
• Experience working on automotive programs for a vehicle manufacturer or supplier and working on Autonomous Vehicle systems.
