Requirements
  • Three to five years of revenue management experience.
  • Expert, recent knowledge of Marriott systems, including One Yield v2, ERS, and CI-TY; expertise in Lightspeed is a bonus.
  • Understanding of market segmentation and rate code mapping; experience with ProfitSword forecasting and mapping is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data presentation.
  • Understanding of total hotel revenue management concepts, with emphasis on profitability, processes, and systems.
  • Presentation skills and the ability to negotiate, convince, sell, and influence professionals or associates.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive situations tactfully.
  • Ability to work under pressure and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective reading and writing abilities for paperwork, management reports, instructions, documentation, and training.
  • Mathematical skills, including basic mathematics, budgeting, profit and loss concepts, percentages, and variances.
  • Ability to resolve employee complaints and issues and participate in feedback meetings.
  • Ability to review and prepare documentation, including applications, write-ups, and reviews.
Responsibilities
  • Maximize revenue, profit, and market share associated with rooms and function space for assigned hotels.
  • Partner with general managers and sales leaders to establish business mix and pricing strategies based on market conditions, supporting sell-out efficiency, targeted marketing, revenue maximization, profitability, and aligned annual business plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement in revenue management practices with the Sage Revenue Management Team.
  • Contribute research and knowledgeable input during planning and strategy phases to support Sage sales and revenue management success.
  • Analyze the competitive set, price positioning, seasonality, and business mix continuously.
  • Use available yield management tools to develop selling strategies, including recommendations on rates, arrival patterns, length of stay, and discount availability.
  • Manage property participation and production through Internet sites and distribution channels, including central reservation offices, global distribution systems, alternative distribution systems, and travel agency consortia.
  • Build and maintain relationships with online travel agency market managers and ensure effective representation on third-party websites.
  • Develop monthly room revenue forecasts accurate within 5%.
  • Participate in the annual business plan and provide guidance on business mix, rate positioning, seasonality, revenue penetration strategies, and goals.
  • Perform special projects and other assigned responsibilities; participate in task forces and committees as requested.
  • Develop and implement a divisional strategy plan for distribution-channel success.
  • Direct and manage associates within applicable hotels when required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Multi-property revenue management experience is preferred but not required.
  • Expertise in Lightspeed is a bonus.
  • ProfitSword forecasting, mapping, and use experience is a plus.
  • Higher levels of Microsoft Excel proficiency are preferred.
  • A four-year degree is preferred.
