  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of experience working with children
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire)
  • Valid driver's license
Responsibilities
  • Program Facilitation: Lead, supervise, and support daily activities for children participating in nature programs and summer camps. Create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate experience for children in outdoor settings. Perform other duties as assigned to support program success.
  • Facility Prep: Reset and prepare program spaces daily. Maintain equipment, tools, and supplies used during activities. Identify and report needed repairs or supply replenishments to supervisors.
  • Planning and Curriculum Support: Collaborate with supervisors to plan and implement nature-based curriculum and daily activity schedules. Adapt lessons and activities to meet the needs, interests, and abilities of diverse groups of children. Contribute ideas that enhance program quality and support child-led exploration.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., education, environmental sciences, outdoor recreation)
  • Knowledge of local plants, animals, and basic ecological principles
  • At least three years of experience working with children
  • Experience facilitating outdoor, nature-based, or camp-style programs
