Requirements
  • 10 years of progressive leadership and sales experience in the employee benefits insurance industry
  • Valid Life License (LLQP) in British Columbia (or obtained within 6 months)
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing sales teams, sales planning, and execution
  • Demonstrates a results-oriented approach with a proven ability to drive sales and business growth within the employee benefits industry
  • Advanced insurance knowledge in Employee Benefits processes, procedures, and underwriting
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication with strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and drive success
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting to track performance and sales metrics
  • Successful completion of post-secondary education is preferred
  • CEBS, CALU, CIM, and other designations are preferred
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute an annual sales plan for the Employee Benefits team, to achieve sales targets, drive growth, and ensure the profitability of the branch operations
  • Drive organic sales growth through cross-selling, up-selling, and identifying new business opportunities
  • Attend client and prospect meetings as needed to drive new business and ensure client satisfaction
  • Guide the team in building strong client relationships by prioritizing service excellence and adapting to client needs
  • Lead the sales team by setting clear expectations and performance standards
  • Work closely with the Chief Sales Officer (CSO), sales leadership, and cross-functional teams to identify cross-sell opportunities, drive new business initiatives, and develop strategies for market expansion and other key initiatives
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, compliance checklists, and critical procedures
