Requirements
  • 3-5 years of social media, video production, or editing experience with a publisher or brand
  • Strong understanding of the social media landscape inclusive of platform-specific strategies and processes
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends as needed
  • Ability to ideate and execute creative concepts and ideas
  • Expertise with social media measurement tools and reporting

Responsibilities
  • Produce, edit, and publish social video content across BKMAG’s social platforms, at a minimum of 2-3 videos per week
  • Attend Brooklyn-based events, shoots, and interviews
  • Ideate evergreen and rapid-fire content concepts for tentpole events
  • Keep up with timely trending topics on social media and develop content based off those trends
  • Collect and communicate best practices for vertical social video, ensuring content is optimized for each social platform
  • Analyze social media metrics and insights for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and X (Formerly Twitter) to inform video strategy refinement and optimize performance
  • Work and communicate with editorial team to develop timely video content
  • Work on camera as talent when applicable or work off camera as a producer when applicable
