  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or CompTIA A+, are a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role, managing computer systems and network infrastructure.

  • Proficiency in server administration (Windows, Linux) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, protocols, and security principles.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-based infrastructure services.
  • Strong understanding of system security best practices and experience implementing security measures.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex system issues.
  • Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions and practices.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Continuous learning mindset and willingness to stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools, such as PowerShell or Bash, is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks is desirable.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
  • Set up and maintain user accounts, permissions, and security settings.
  • Ensure proper system configurations and adherence to security best practices.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and security.
  • Perform regular system maintenance tasks, including software updates, patches, and firmware upgrades.
  • Identify and resolve system issues, bottlenecks, and vulnerabilities in a timely manner.
  • Provide technical support to end-users on hardware, software, and system-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems reported by users and escalate as necessary.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and responsiveness.
  • Implement and enforce security measures to protect systems and data from unauthorized access, threats, and vulnerabilities.
  • Monitor system logs, perform security audits, and manage user access controls.
  • Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Create and maintain system documentation, including configuration guides, procedures, and troubleshooting resources.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations and changes.
  • Share knowledge and best practices with the IT team and end-users.
  • Plan and execute system upgrades and migrations.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to minimize downtime and ensure a smooth transition.
  • Conduct testing and validation of upgraded systems to ensure compatibility and functionality.
  • Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to procure necessary hardware, software licenses, and technical support.
  • Manage vendor relationships and service level agreements.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and evaluate their potential benefits to the organization.
  • Monitor system performance metrics and identify areas for optimization.
  • Implement performance tuning measures to improve system efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
  • Conduct capacity planning to ensure system resources meet current and future needs.
  • Ensure systems adhere to relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance.
  • Collaborate with the security and compliance teams to address audit findings and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership to define system goals, roadmap, and strategies.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of new systems, technologies, and infrastructure upgrades.
