A new chapter for TBS Engineering.

A new chapter for TBS Engineering. Rosendahl Nextrom has acquired TBS Engineering from the Marmon Group to strategically further expanding its battery business. Gloucester, UK - Rosendahl Nextrom, based in Eastern Styria, Austria, has signed the largest acquisition in its history by acquiring the British company TBS Engineering (part of the Marmon Group). Through its BM-Rosendahl brand, the company has already established a strong presence in the global battery market. This acquisition elevates it to the global market leader for battery manufacturing solutions and reinforces its technological leadership in a high-growth international market. "The acquisition of TBS marks a significant strategic step and underscores our clear commitment to the battery sector," says Gerhard Jakopic, CEO of Rosendahl Nextrom. "It brings together two highly complementary companies with strong international relevance in their respective markets." For Rosendahl Nextrom, a global technology partner to the cable, wire, fiber optic, and battery industries, this represents the second major acquisition within a short period. In February 2026, the company acquired the Tallinn-based Windak Group, thereby strategically expanding its cable and wire division. With this latest acquisition, the company's global workforce now exceeds 1,000 employees. "For our customers, this translates into greater technological depth, expanded global reach, and additional opportunities for development," says Siegfried Altmann, CEO of Rosendahl Nextrom. "We are building on our strong battery business and will continue to expand this area with a clear strategic focus." Rosendahl Nextrom is part of the KNILL Group, headquartered in Weiz. Georg Knill emphasizes: "We invest selectively in companies with high technological relevance and long-term development potential. With TBS, Rosendahl Nextrom is further strengthening a strategic business area in which we have strong confidence." TBS and BM will continue to operate as independent brands with distinct identities. The objective is to further build on existing strengths, combine competencies in a targeted manner, and create additional opportunities in technology, service, and international market development. About Rosendahl Nextrom Rosendahl Nextrom GmbH is a global technology partner for production systems in the cable, wire, fiber optic and battery industries.
