Requirements
- An active and unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse license in the state is required.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification is required.
- Current intravenous therapy certification is required.
- Availability to work overtime as needed is required.
- Availability to work weekends, including Saturdays and/or Sundays, as needed is required.
- Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis is required.
- The ability to function independently and as part of a team is required.
- The role requires sitting or standing intermittently for an 8- to 12-hour shift.
- The ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds is required.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with health care regulations, including JCAHO, HIPAA, and OSHA.
- Perform Licensed Practical Nurse duties, including correctly administering medications, setting up sterile fields, and disinfecting and sterilizing equipment.
- Complete required documentation accurately, thoroughly, and in a timely manner according to company standards.
- Communicate with physicians, Medical Assistants, Patient Coordinators, and other team members about daily clinical and surgical schedules, anticipating needs appropriately.
- Document clinical and surgical chart notes accurately and appropriately.
- Provide a high level of patient care and patient service.
- Follow policies and procedures consistently to support positive patient outcomes.
- Support physicians' patient retention by providing high-quality patient care and patient experiences.
- Assist with all aspects of the clinical and surgical environment.
- Complete other projects and duties and assume responsibilities assigned by Clinical Leadership Members.
