Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
  • Six or more years of proven experience working with robots in an industrial setting
  • Equivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year-for-year basis
  • Proficiency in FANUC programming languages and software tools (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of automation systems, programmable logic controllers (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), and industrial networks
  • Strong understanding of three-dimensional coordinate systems and calculating/implementing position offsets
  • Ability to read and understand prints and schematics
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills for technical documentation and team collaboration
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Expertise in Virtual Twin technology and its applications in robotics (preferred)
  • Knowledge of material handling or assembly applications (preferred)
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (preferred)
  • Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance
  • Up to 50% travel required
  • On-site work 100% in office when not traveling (not hybrid/remote)
Responsibilities
  • Lead team members through the installation and commissioning of complex systems
  • Support customers with hands-on troubleshooting and instruction using Digital Twin technology when appropriate
  • Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Learn, document, and automate calibration procedures and educate stakeholders as a subject matter expert
  • Install, integrate, and test system parts and assemblies using industry best practices and compare against Digital Twin as needed
  • Install, integrate, and test industrial programmable logic controllers and electrical control systems, including parameter configuration for Servos and Variable Frequency Drives
  • Install, integrate, and test industrial electro-mechanical and robotic systems, including position and tool calibration
  • Collaborate with software and systems engineers to troubleshoot PLC/control system input/output, network connections, and safety circuits
  • Coordinate with all stakeholders to suggest improvements to execution, usability, and functionality (HMI requests/changes, install/commissioning, calibration, recovery)
  • Develop and maintain project documentation (troubleshooting notes, drawing redlines, equipment manuals, test plans, project notes)
  • Ensure compliance with MiTek installation procedures, guidelines, industry standards, and governmental regulations applicable to industrial machinery at customer facilities
  • Maintain system-level expertise to guide the installation team and bridge gaps between customer support and customers
  • Review and stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies
  • This role is onsite five days per week

Mitek And Alogent Partner To Prevent Check Fraud

Fraud prevention firm Mitek expanded a partnership with payments processor Alogent. The collaboration will see Alogent integrate Mitek’s Check Fraud Defender (CFD) into its Unify deposits automation solution to prevent the rising threat of check fraud, according to a Wednesday (Aug. 21) press release. “According to the annual Federal Reserve Financial Services Survey, in the United States, forms of check fraud including forgery and counterfeiting account for 31% of all bank fraud,” the release said. “In fact, in 2023, check fraud losses surpassed $20 billion and are expected to be even higher in 2024.”
